Bring In The Recruits | ||
Athens, WV With the season being over for more then two months their is still some action in the football offices. Concord has recruited three new faces to join the Lions. Line Backer, Rusty Coeburn, from Bluefield, West Virginia was the co-captain for the State Champion Bluefield High School. Following his reign at Bluefield High Rusty played for West Virginia Wesleyan. In 10 games played he's recorded 8 tackles and recovered 1 fumble. |
| Track Team Shows Promise at Marietta |
| The men's and women's track competed at Marietta College in Ohio this past Saturday. The men's team finished in 8th place and the women in 9th. Coach Cox said "I was pleased with their performances at this point in the season. We are ahead of where we were last year." The lone champion was John Paul Blankenship who threw almost an entire meter farther than the competition (16.40). |

Athens, WV The Mountain Lions broke the century mark tonight by destroying the Davis and Elkins Senators 108-78. As a team Concord shot 57% from the floor, 47% from the arc and an impressive 72% from the charity stripe. Six Lions shot double digits tonight. Tyrone Anderson notched 18 points while grabbing |
