Second seed Summers County advanced to the AA state championship game for the first time since 2000 with a 69-52 win over Ritchie County.

Summers County was led by the sister tandem of Sierra and Jolysa Brown who combined for 46 points. Summers County outscored Ritchie County 44-10 in the paint.

Summers County is 4-1 all-time in State Championship games. The Bobcats will face the winner between top-seed Winfield and defending champ Magnolia at noon on Saturday.

GameNotes:
3rd seed Parkersburg Catholic advanced it's record to 23-3 on the season with a 62-38 victory over 7th seed Tug Valley on Friday morning.

Senior guard Sarah Tokodi went over 2,000 points on her Parkersburg Catholic career scoring 21 to lead the Crusaderettes to the Class Single A Championship game.

Following a close first half, Catholic used a 24 point third to break the game open.

The Panther were led by froshman center Patience Brewer's 10 points. Tug saw it's season end at 18-7.

Catholic will attempt to win a state record 8th state championship tomorrow around 2:20pm.

Generals to Play for AA Title

GameNotes:
The Winfield Generals advanced to it's first state title game since 2004 with a 60-48 win over defending state champions Magnolia.

Sophmore Katie Cloxton led all scorers with 15 points, the last time the General were in the title game older sister Karrah led Winfield to a AA state title 52-49 over Petersburg.

The top seed Generals will face the second seed Summers County Saturday at Noon. Winfield won two regular season meetings with the Lady Bobcats.
