Kirby Puckett died Monday
MINNEAPOLIS Mar 6, 2006 (AP)— Kirby Puckett died Monday, a day after the Hall of Fame outfielder had a stroke at his Arizona home, a hospital spokeswoman said. He was 44.
Minnesota Twins' Kirby Puckett watches his 11th inning home run to beat the Atlanta Braves in Game 6 of the World Series in Minneapolis on Oct. 26, 1991. Puckett had a stroke at his Arizona home Sunday, March 5, 2006, and was taken to a hospital for surgery, the team announced from its spring training camp.
