Football teams from the Mountain State Athletic Conference, 16 teams strong, were out in full force Friday night for the annual MSAC Grid-o-Rama at Laidley Field.

Friday’s scrimmages, which included Capital, George Washington, Greenbrier East and newly consolidated Lincoln County, provided just a first taste of the weekend’s high school action. Starting at 9:30 this morning and continuing through 8:30 tonight, the remaining 12 MSAC schools will each engage in two one-hour scrimmages.

They’re the final scrimmages for each school leading up to next week’s season openers.
