Skyhawks snare first win under Kingery

The Scott Skyhawks knocked off unbeaten Winfield last Friday night in Madison to earn their first win of the season and to snare their first win under coach Jason Kingery.

A trio of double-figure scorers paced Scott’s 58-53 win over the Winfield Generals. Senior Timmy Hudson (20) and sophomore Steven McComas (15) teamed up for 35 points while senior post player Donovan Pearson netted 11 Skyhawk markers.

Marcus Linville added five points for Scott, Trey Workman scored three, and Jared Jarrell and Carl Shaffer each contributed two points.


Bulldogs rally for 69-67 victory over Iager

The Van Bulldogs rallied from deficits of 20-10 after one quarter and 38-27 at halftime in order to earn a 69-67 win over the Iaeger Cubs at Van last Friday night.

Lady Tide drops Liberty-Raleigh, Valley-Fayette

The Sherman Lady Tide picked up their first two wins of the young season by defeating Liberty Raleigh on December 15, 45-37, and then Valley Fayette on December 20 by a score of 35-21.
