PREP BASEBALL

Oak Hill 3, Clay County 1

EAST BANK — Frankie McGraw and Tyler Zimm combined to scatter six hits and Chris Chapman hit a solo home run to lead the Red Devils over Clay County Tuesday at WVU-Tech’s Douglas Epling Field.

Oak Hill’s Nico Menei and Aaron McComas knocked in a run apiece as McGraw picked up the win and Zimm the save.

J.D. Johnson and Trinity Dorsey went 2-for-3 for the Panthers.

Oak Hill (2-0) returns home at 5 p.m. today where they will face Nicholas County.

FAYETTEVILLE — Alayna Cayton homered and drove in four runs to lead Fayetteville.

Stephanie Nickell doubled and tripled and had four RBIs and Amanda Feazell plated three runs for the Pirates (2-0).

Freshman pitcher Shandi Myles had eight strikeouts.

Fayetteville hosts Valley at 5 p.m. today.
