DURHAM, N.C. Duke forward Josh McRoberts is making himself available to the N-B-A.
The native of Carmel, Indiana, announced this afternoon that he's forgoing the final two seasons of his eligibility and putting his name in the hat for the 2007 N-B-A Draft scheduled for late June.McRoberts says it's a difficult decision, but he thinks it's the best one for him and his family.Coach Mike Krzyzewski (shuh-SHEF'-skee) says he's met with McRoberts and his mother and he's totally behind the decision.McRoberts averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds per game this season. He also led the team in field goal accuracy, hitting 50 percent of his shots.He was the only player in the N-C-A-A to average at least 10 points, seven and a half rebounds, two and a half blocks and three and a half assists per game this season.
